Hello! I recently completed my M.S. in Computer Science at the University of Dayton, OH, working in the Vision and Mixed Reality Lab with Prof. Tam Nguyen on computer vision, multimodal learning, and generative AI. Before that, I spent three years as a backend software engineer at Shopee, an experience that makes me care about methods that hold up outside the lab, not just on benchmarks. My recent work uses generation both as a tool for models — synthesizing adverse weather to stress-test perception — and as a subject of study in itself, from detecting AI-polished reviews to building an open-source AI coding tutor.

I am open to both research and engineering opportunities where these interests meet.

May 18, 2025	My paper benchmarking object detection in adverse weather was accepted in Machine Vision and Applications 2025.
Apr 23, 2025	Received the 2025 Scholarship Award for Graduate Students at the University of Dayton.
Sep 09, 2024	Joined the Vision and Mixed Reality Lab at the University of Dayton with a Graduate Assistantship, advised by Prof. Tam Nguyen.
Aug 13, 2024	Started my M.S. in Computer Science at the University of Dayton, Ohio, USA.
Dec 18, 2021	My research on traffic video retrieval won First Prize at the Euréka Scientific Research Award, a national competition held by Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology.
Aug 02, 2021	Joined Shopee as a Software Engineer.
Apr 18, 2021	My first paper, Traffic Video Event Retrieval via Text Query using Vehicle Appearance and Motion Attributes, was accepted at the CVPR 2021 Workshop.
Aug 03, 2020	Joined Foody (now ShopeeFood) as a Data Engineer Intern.
