Graduating from the University of Dayton

I graduated with an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Dayton today.

Graduation day at UD.

When I arrived in Dayton in August 2024, I knew the road ahead would not be easy. I was in a new country, on a tight budget, and I did not yet know which path would take me forward.

A month in, I joined the Vision and Mixed Reality Lab with a Graduate Assistantship, advised by Prof. Tam Nguyen. During the program, our paper on object detection in adverse weather was accepted in Machine Vision and Applications, I received the 2025 Scholarship Award, and I presented LeetCoach at AAAI/EAAI 2026 in Singapore. I finished by defending my M.S. thesis, advised by Prof. Tam Nguyen and Prof. James Buckley.

Two years ago, I did not know which path would take me forward. Dayton gave me time to find it. I leave with gratitude for this city, for this university, and for everyone who walked part of the way with me. Thank you to Prof. Tam Nguyen and Prof. James Buckley for guiding my thesis, to my labmates and co-authors, and to my family for their support.
